The OPN Sound Osso is a true bone conduction headphone. Sound travels through your cheekbones to the inner ear, so your ear canal stays completely open — you hear the traffic, the trail and the person beside you while your audio plays. Runners on city routes, cyclists on gravel and anyone who needs an ear free for the room find these the most useful headphones they have owned, because they solve a real problem instead of just playing loud.

A flexible wraparound frame with a soft-touch finish makes the Osso disappear on your head. At 28 grams it sits at the light end of the bone conduction category, and the behind-the-ear loop holds through a long run without the slip-and-adjust routine you get with earbuds.

IPX5 water resistance shrugs off heavy sweat and rain — it is a splash rating, not a swimming rating, and we would rather say that up front. The battery runs 9 hours of playback and 160 hours on standby, and a full charge takes about 2 hours on the included cable. Bluetooth 5.2 holds the link to 30 feet (10 metres), and pairing is one tap on iPhone, Android, PC or Mac.

Bone conduction sport headphones, built for the road and the trail

As bone conduction sport headphones go, the Osso keeps the trade-off honest: your ears stay open, so you keep your situational awareness on a shared path, a road shoulder or a gym floor. One multifunction button covers play, pause, next track, previous track and volume, and the built-in mic answers and rejects calls and wakes your phone's voice assistant without you touching the phone.

How does bone conduction work?
It sends sound through your cheekbones to the inner ear, leaving your ears open so you stay aware of your surroundings.
Are they sweat- and rain-proof?
Yes. The IPX5 rating handles heavy sweat and rain.
How long do they last on a charge?
About 9 hours of playback and 160 hours of standby. A full charge takes roughly 2 hours on the included cable.
Do they work with both iPhone and Android?
Yes. Bluetooth 5.2 pairs with iPhone, Android, PC, and Mac.
What warranty comes with these?
A lifetime warranty from OPN Sound. Register your Osso at opnsound.com/pages/warranty once you unbox it — registration is what activates the coverage, so do not skip it. Clavia is an authorized OPN Sound retailer, which is what makes your unit eligible; grey-market imports are not.
Will I be charged duties or customs fees?
No. We ship from Canadian warehouses, so there are no cross-border duties or customs charges on your order.
How long does shipping take?
We ship from four Canadian distribution centres that reach 95% of Canadian households. Orders are processed within one to two business days, and typically arrive within two to five business days. Delivery to Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut takes 5 to 10 business.
Can I swim with them?
No. The IPX5 rating covers heavy sweat and rain, not submersion. If you want a swimming headphone, this is not it, and we would rather tell you now.
Are these good as bone conduction sport headphones?
That is what they are built for. Your ears stay open, so you keep your awareness of traffic, other runners and the room. The behind-the-ear loop holds through a long run.
Do they have a microphone?
Yes. One press answers or ends a call, two presses reject it, and a 3-second hold wakes your phone's voice assistant.
Do they help with single-sided hearing loss?
Many customers buy them for exactly that, because sound reaches the inner ear through the cheekbone rather than the ear canal. We are a retailer, not a clinic — talk to an audiologist before you rely on them medically.
What is in the box?
The Osso headphones, one charging cable and the user manual. Note that the headphones contain small parts and are not intended for children under 10.
