The Epson PowerLite 1780W is an ultra-portable WXGA business projector built for the road. Real ultra-portable — 1.8 kilograms in the bag, no compromises in brightness. 3,000 lumens, 16:10 native, built-in Wi-Fi. As an epson business projector targeted at travelling sales teams and itinerant trainers, the 1780W is the model Epson would put in your laptop bag if it could.
The lens carries Epson’s 1.2× zoom, which means the projector handles a range of room sizes without moving the unit. Auto vertical keystone fires on power-on. Horizontal keystone is manual through the menu but rarely needed once the unit is set up.
HDMI, VGA, USB-A passthrough for thumb drives, and built-in Wi-Fi for direct casting from Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android through Epson iProjection. The lamp is conventional UHE (not laser) — 5,000 hours of life in normal mode, 10,000 in eco mode.
