The Dangbei DBOX02 Pro is the Dangbei projector that put the brand on serious home-theatre enthusiasts’ radar. It is the model most reviewers compare against the XGIMI Horizon Pro and the JMGO N1, and at the Clavia Canadian retail price it is meaningfully cheaper than either. 3,200 ISO lumens of ALPD laser, true 4K, Google TV, licensed Netflix.

The build is heavier than the MP1 Max — that is intentional. The DBOX02 Pro is designed for fixed installation in a media room rather than portable use. The chassis carries dual 12W Dolby Audio speakers tuned by Harman Kardon. HDMI 2.1 with eARC, two HDMI inputs total. USB 3.0 for direct media playback.

Setup is the same autofocus, auto-keystone, auto-screen-fit, and obstacle avoidance you get on the MP1 Max. The difference is image quality — the DBOX02 Pro’s ALPD 4.0 light engine has better colour volume and HDR tone-mapping. Side-by-side with the MP1 Max, the difference is visible in dark scenes.
