The Sharp GX-BT390-BK is a portable bluetooth speaker built for the places an ordinary speaker does not survive: the dock, the pool deck, the campsite, the bottom of a canoe. It carries an IP67 rating, which covers dust as well as water, and it floats; a speaker that goes into the lake comes back out of the lake.
30 W RMS, not a peak number. Sharp rates the GX-BT390 at 30 W RMS total, 15 W per channel across two front drivers, with two passive radiators handling the low end. RMS is the honest figure: it is the power the speaker sustains, not the half-second spike that gets printed on a box.
Battery and charging. A 7.4 V, 2,000 mAh lithium-ion cell is rated for up to 11 hours of play time and recharges in about 3.5 hours over USB Type-C at 5 V / 2 A.
Pairing and inputs. Bluetooth V5.0, listed by Sharp as iPod and iPhone compatible and AOA (Android Open Accessory) compatible. TWS dual-speaker mode links two GX-BT390 units into a left/right stereo pair, two speakers, not a chain of fifty. A 3.5 mm AUX input takes anything without Bluetooth, MP3 and WMA playback are supported, and the built-in microphone handles hands-free calls.
